Birthday treats

It’s my birthday tomorrow. I will be 24. My office chums have presented me with a splendid 1963 original Mathmos lava lamp. I’ve always wanted one of these and now I have one. It takes pride of place on my desk, hypnotising me and giving my eyes the valuable breaks they need from my monitor.
