Karate Guy
Last night I went to my first GKR Karate class at Buckingham School. I’ve always fancied doing a marshall art as a means of keeping fit as I get bored of running treadmills and pumping iron. At least by doing karate I can keep my brain interested as well as my muscles. I had a great time and learnt a fair few new and exciting sweet moves in the dojo.
There’s a lot of bowing, shouting and eastern mystical stuff thrown into the mix to give an authentic feel of the art. All the people in the class are really friendly and helpful and there’s none of this macho testorone rubbish going on. In fact this type of Katate is non-contact so there’s not going to be too many bruises happening. I’m aching quite a bot today but will definitely be popping along next thursday for another battering.

I know *exactly* how you feel – this morning I attended my second class, and seem to find new unused muscles each time I visit!
