helen and i treated the deck with some decking oil. no mean feat – the expanse being as huge as it is. Bought a sprayer which quartered the time.

ralf, harry and jacqui came up last weekend (as you know). we sat outside in a violent electrical storm and got soaked. Just for the fun of it. i have pics to share – again, will upload soon.

Annoyingly, my camera has a lens fault which means all pics im taking these days have a small black dot on them. Irritating, but im due a phone upgrade in a few months so will replace then.

yes, i could but im a bit lazy in that respect. Instead ive been creative, finding darker parts within the potential picture to line the dot over so you cant see it!

Deck sounds like a marathon task – the spray is definitely the way to go. My landlord did our deck recenty (which is equally as expansive) and it took him ages…

yeah but that is not without its own issues – things that look like alien ghosts appear in the pictures! plus, having a single device for music and pics and phoning is very useful when wearing shorts that are somewhat lacking in the pocket department.

Just tell people that the new Intel chips on the Macs have an ‘overdrive’ facility. The facility allows you to go up to 2.6 GHz when you need that extra push over teh cliff. That’s what the button is for.
