Deathbru gonna getcha!
Deathbru will release the long awaited new album by Christmas. You probably don’t believe me since I’ve been making promises of a new album since two years ago. Originally it was going to be entitled ‘Subway to Venus’ but I’m not so sure about the title now. So, any suggestions? Post them here.
The album will be the follow-up to the last studio album, “Times’ Arrow” which was released in 1999. We also released the soundtrack to an imaginary film “Becoming Ralf” in 2000. The next release will follow in the steps of Becoming Ralf by revisiting the ambient themes and weird soundscapes. We’ll also attempt to write a few catchy popish tunes too. I’ve got a fair amount of material written and it’s just a case of pulling it all together.
The hardest part about recording a Deathbru album is getting founder member Harry Deans to contribute. He only added his unique vocal style to one track on ‘Time’s Arrow’ – “Hawkwind, Earth and Fire” which he also wrote. His voice was sampled for the tracks “Harry Deans, Where you Attt?” and “Southampton Boys”. Hopefully he will make himself available to lay down some tracks.
The new album will be similar to “Time’s Arrow” in that it will make use of various musical friends. I have a strong feeling that Shay may be involved in some capacity. We shall see.
Anyway, keep an eye on this site for updates. The official Deathbru shop – the only place you can buy our recordings will be back online shortly. However, if you are interested in purchasing any of our back catalogue please contact me.
Remember to post your suggestions for the album title.
